
A burglar is on the loose after stealing firearms and ammunition from a Danbury home in plain daylight, according to police.
DANBURY — A burglar made off with several firearms and rounds of ammunition after breaking into a South Street home this week, police said Thursday.
When officers were called to the home about 12:30 p.m. Monday, the complainant said some electronic devices were also taken, police said.
The department is searching for a man who was seen in the area at the time. He is described as white, about 5 feet 7 inches, average build and in his early 30s. He was wearing a white T-shirt, dark shorts, sneakers, a black hat and carrying a backpack. Police said he also was seen entering a dark green van.
