4 arrested in heroin sweep

NEW MILFORD — An ongoing undercover investigation into the illegal distribution of heroin throughout the town of New Milford led to the arrest of three local men and a woman from Warren.

The Connecticut State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force and the New Milford Police Department served four narcotics related arrest warrants and executed three court authorized search warrants throughout the town of New Milford Friday.

More arrests are forthcoming, according to police.

The following individuals were arrested and charged with multiple violations:

Brendan Moore, of Bostwick Arms, New Milford was charged with five counts of sale of narcotics.

Seth Surles, of Bostwick Arms, New Milford was charged with possession of narcotics.

Weston Chavis, of Old Grove Street, New Milford was charged with two counts sale of narcotics, two counts sale of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school zone, and two counts conspiracy to commit sale of narcotics.

Lisa Calabrese, of Partridge Road, Warren was charged with sale of narcotics, sale of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school zone and conspiracy to commit sale of narcotics.

The status of Moore, Chavis and Calabrese regarding bond or release was not provided Saturday. Surles was being held on bond at the New Milford Police station as of 10:20 a.m. Saturday.
