Dunphy chosen for zoning post

The Ridgefield Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously chose Tim Dunphy to serve as a commission member at its meeting Wednesday.
Dunphy was the only candidate for the open seat. He was endorsed by the Democratic Town Committee for the position.
Dunphy narrowly lost a chance to serve on the commission in November’s election. However, when Jim Coyle — a Democrat elected to the board — resigned because of medical issues, Dunphy emerged as the logical choice to replace him.
