Polar bears learn to hunt on land

Polar bears have become the poster child of climate change. As the sea ice disappears, there were legitimate fears that the bears, unable to hunt for seals on the ice, would spiral into extinction.

For biologists are finding the bears  – at least some living in the Hudson Bay area – are adaptable; They’re learning to hunt on land and dine on caribou and geese, not just seals
