Ridgefield Police Department detectives are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery Friday at First Niagara Bank, 108 Danbury Road, to call 203-438-6531 or the department’s anonymous tip line 203-431-2345.
The robbery occurred at approximately 1:09 p.m. Friday when a tall, white male in his 20′s wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark brown hat entered the bank, demanded money and claimed he had a gun, police said. No gun was displayed, police said.
The suspect left the bank fleeing on foot in a southern direction, according to police. Danbury Police Department’s K-9 Unit assisted in the search.
The Ridgefield Police Detective Unit is investigating the robbery.
