If you’re intrigued by the One Book, One Community pick of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby” as the 2013 book, you’ll want to know about the upcoming events the OBOC committee has planned. As promised, here are the details:
Just click on the poster to see it in larger print. You don’t have to be from Danbury to come to the programs, they are open to all. There are only three events that require registration, which is easy to do by calling the library or visiting www.danburylibrary.org, and all the events are free! You can’t beat that price.
To top it all off, if you’re attending some or all of the program events, you have a chance to win a prize basket that includes tickets to the Newport mansions. Both Rosecliff Mansion and Marble House provided some of the locations for scenes in the 1974 version of the movie, starring Robert Redford and Mia Farrow, among others.
There’s some other fun ‘Gatsby-esque’ items included in the prize basket, but you have to come to some events and get your Green Light passport stamped to have a shot at winning it.
