Homeland Towers, the company that plans to build a cell tower off old Stagecoach Road in Ridgefield, has filed its application for the project with the State Siting Council on Tuesday.
Ray Vergati, site design manager for Homeland Towers, which has its offices in Danbury, said Tuesday the firm mailed the application Monday.
“The council has received it,” Vergati said.
The tower, as proposed, will sit on a ridge line behind Ridgefield High School. It will provide needed cell service to the north and west sides of town.
