A special STUFF-A-VAN event will take place at the Bethel United Methodist Church, 141 Greenwood Ave. in Bethel, during their spaghetti dinner Saturday, Nov. 16, starting at 5:30 p.m. Members of the Bethel Women’s Club will be on hand to accept cash donations and other items as part of its annual community drive to collect gifts for local veterans.
In addition to clothing, items such as slippers gloves, DVDs, CDs, batteries and puzzle books are sought. They will be given as Christmas presents to men and women who reside at The Vet House, Home for Heroes and to veterans in long-term care.
Gifts should be new, with original tags and packaging and remain unwrapped.
