Once upon a time, high schools generally put on one play a year and it was in the spring. But at many schools, that has changed.
Now, you can catch productions at several area high schools in the fall.
Bethel High School, 300 Whittlesey Drive, is presenting “Little Women” on Thursday and Friday (Nov. 21 and 22) at 7 p.m.
The play “Little Women” was written by Peter Clapham, adapted from the novel by Louisa May Alcott. The story brings us back to the 1860s in Boston, Mass., and the strong family bond of sisters Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy. The story is enhanced by their relationships with each other, Marmee, Aunt March, Hannah, Laurie, Mr. Laurence, Mr. Brooke and of course, Mr. March.
Ciro Franco directs. Included in the cast and crew are Natalia Stifano, Shami Khashabo, Sara Rockmacher, Danielle Hector, Kelly Roper, Jennifer Cote, Isabel Brooks, Jonathan Wild, Sean Gorman, Tom Smith, Mitch Ryan, Cassia Mauer, Katie Griffin and Alison Baranovic.
