Are you a filmmaker? Do you know one?
Then you might be interested to know that the VOB Film Festival is now accepting submissions – both short and feature-length films, from local and international filmmakers – for the third annual festival, which will take place over Labor Day weekend, Aug. 29 through 31.
VOB stands for Village of Brewster; the festival is based in Brewster, N.Y., just a hop over the state border. Screenings will take place in and around the village, which is easily accessible from the Brewster station of Metro North or by car from I-684, I-84 and Route 6 .
There is an early bird deadline of April 15, with a $15 entry fee. The fee increases each month until the final deadline of June 20. Films can be uploaded directly to the website or mailed on DVD to VOB Film Festival, 162 Main St., Brewster, N.Y., 10509.
New this year are the Young Filmmakers division and the addition of cash prizes for festival winners. For more information, visit www.VOBFilmFestival.com, or call 845-278-0018.
