DANBURY — With a 1-degree reading on thermometers in Danbury this morning, today’s frigid low temperature makes for the second-coldest morning of what has been a trying month of cold and snow.
According to statistics at Weather Underground, only once was the low temperature recorded in Danbury fallen below 1 degree, when it dropped to -4 on the 11th. On the 12th the low was also 1 degrees, which today’s temperature tied.
Since then, it’s been a slightly more forgiving stretch until this week, with morning temperatures dropping lower and lower until today.
The good news? There isn’t much. Today’s high temperature of 30 degrees will be followed by a high temperature of 19 degrees on Friday, which could make for an even colder morning to end the work week.
