DANBURY — A sunny weekend and a warm start to the work week may just be a brief break before winter weather returns later this week.
Though snow forecast for Monday morning has not made much of a showing, spring-like temperatures will lead to a late-week return to low temperatures and a chance of snow and sleet starting Wednesday, according to National Weather Service forecasts.
Forecasts call for a high temperature of 42 degrees Monday followed by 51 on Tuesday. But by Wednesday, the temperature is expected to return to the low 40s with a 70 percent chance of sleet and snow in the morning.
By Thursday, early morning snow is forecast as “likely” along with a high temperature of 27 degrees, according to NWS.
But the bright side will come Friday when sunny skies and temperatures near 40 degrees are expected to return, according to NWS.
