In many of our local communities, March is the time to see some talented teens take to the stage.
For under $20, residents in the area can see some spectacular music and dance at our local high schools. To me, it’s a no-miss.
I don’t know all the shows, but if you live near a high school, check out their websites. I do know of three: Newtown High School’s production of “Peter Pan” that will begin with a dress rehearsal open to seniors on March 19 and running through the weekend; New Milford High School’s “Cats” that will again start next weekend, with showings the following weekend as well; and Brookfield High School’s production of “Sound of Music” that will open on March 20 at 7 p.m. and run through Sunday’s matinee at 1 p.m.
Please visit these schools websites to find out about tickets, or if you are willing to chance not reserving a seat and happen to be in the area, there might just be a ticket left for you.
I assure you, the performances will be top notch, and these kids have earned their moment in the spotlight.
