Two patients are being transported from the crash on Interstate 84 to Danbury Hospital, according to scanner reports.
One patient complained of back and neck pain and another suffered minor head trauma, according to scanner reports.
NEWTOWN — A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 has closed both eastbound lanes in the area of exit 9.
Police and medical personnel have responded to the crash in the area of exit 9, which a witness said involved a tractor-trailer.
State police said only the shoulder of the highway’s eastbound side is opened due to the crash.
Traffic is backing up in the area and commuters should expect delays.
Police at the scene reported that two patients are being treated by medical personnel but extrication was not required, according to scanner reports.
