The Ridgefield Library’s temporary quarters on Governor Street will close for good on April 17, to allow the library to move to its new building on Main Street.
The new $20 million library will open its doors on May 9, with full service there beginning May 10.
During that three weeks, no books or other materials borrowed from the library will have a late fine.. The next due date will be May 12.
The outside book return at Governor Street will be closed as of Monday, April 21, Library patrons should keep books and other items until the new library opens. Library patrons are also urged to go to the library before April 17 if there is some item the library is holding for them.
