Newtown Police are searching for Martin Allen, 71, who went missing from his home Monday morning.

Allen was last seen walking near his home in lower Hattertown in Newtown around 8:30 a.m.
According to police the search for Allen went through the night. The search included K-9 units and a helicopter search of the area.
The Connecticut State Police have also join in the search and are still actively looking for Allen. He is most likely still in the area and walked away on his own accord, police said.
He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans. Anyone with information on Allen is urged to call the Newtown Police at (203) 426-5841.
