Burglary and forgery arrests in Newtown

NEWTOWN — Police have arrested three people last week on charges ranging from  burglary to larceny and forgery charges.

Robert Willis, 19 of Pole Bridge Road, Newtown is facing 15 counts each of third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, and third-degree criminal mischief stemming from incident in November 2013, and January, March and May 2014. He turned himself in to Newtown Police Aug. 22 on a warrant stemming from a Jan. 24 incident. He is free on $15,000 court set bond with a next court date of Sept. 18 in Superior Court in Danbury.

Olajuwon Harrington, 22, of Stonefield Drive, Waterbury was arrested Aug. 17 at Huntington Road in Newtown on charges of third-degree burglary, fourth-degree larceny and second-degree giving a false statement. He was released on $1,000 bond with a court date of Aug. 28 in Superior Court in Danbury.

Chevol A. Smith, 45, of Colorado Avenue, Bridgeport was arrested Friday by New Haven Police and transported to Newtown on a warrant stemming from a Sept. 19, 2013 incident. Smith is charged with third-degree forgery, criminal attempt to commit forgery and fourth-degree larceny/embezzlement. Smith was released on $1,000 bond with a court date of Sept. 9 in Superior Court in Danbury.
