Danbury police arrested a man for driving under the influence and causing a car accident.
Marc Vachovetz, 33, of Danbury was driving on Federal Road when he rear ended another car, police said. When officers questioned Vachovetz he showed signs of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Vahchovetz failed the field sobriety tests, as he was being arrested police found packets of heroin on him.
He was charged with failure to drive at a reasonable distance, operating a motor vehicle under the influence and possession of narcotics. Vachovetz was later released on a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Court on Oct. 6.
