NEW MILFORD — The building that recently housed Sweet Sarah’s at 21 Bank St has a new lessee who plans to make renovations to the interior and open a Class 1 restaurant on the first floor.
Craig Richardson special permit application before New Milford Zoning goes to public hearing on Feb. 10.
First-floor interior renovations would result in a 22 seat, 7 table restaurant with some counter seating along the front windows. Richardson plans to apply for a liquor license to offer wine and beer with meals.
The decor and menu would be “American comfort” with occasional seasonal offerings. The restaurant would be open for lunch, dinner and post-dinner serving six days a week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The second floor of the building would be restored to an apartment. At this time there is a business office on the second floor.
