NEW MILFORD — A 30 year old local man is charged with evading responsibility stemming from a motor vehicle accident Sunday on Danbury Road.
Wilmer Gomez Zhicay, of Grove Street, New Milford was arrested Sunday after the investigation into multiple parked vehicles being hit by a 2008 blue Toyota Yaris that was abandoned at the scene, police said.
Connecticut Department of Transportation workers reported in incident about 7:33 a.m. Sunday to New Milford Police, saying they believed the crash had happened several hours earlier, according to the police log.
Zhicay was charged with evading responsibility, operating a motor vehicle without a license and failure to drive in the established lane. He was released on $500 bond with a court date Feb. 23 in Superior Court in Bantam.
