DANBURY – A high school science teacher who was due to appear today in Danbury Superior Court to answer a felony charge of second-degree sexual assault had her arraignment postponed to later this month.
Kayla Mooney, 24, a first-year science teacher, is accused of inappropriate conduct with a male student.
Police and school officials have not released details about the allegation, except that it happened off campus last year and involved one student.
Mooney, who was placed on administrative leave on Feb. 10 after school officials learned of the allegation, is due to be arraigned on April 27.
