March of 300 set for Sunday in Danbury

DANBURY – More than 300 people are scheduled to walk the annual March of Dimes fundraiser, March for Babies, on Sunday at the Ives Concert Hall.

Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton and a local family that has benefited from March of Dimes support will cut the ribbon at 10 a.m. at Western Connecticut State University’s Lake Avenue campus.

Participants will walk the around perimeter of Ives Concert Park to raise money for prenatal wellness programs, research grants, advocacy efforts and neonatal intensive care unit family support programs.
