DANBURY — During a brief hearing Wednesday morning, a superior court judge agreed to release the car where police said a former Danbury High School teacher had sex with a 17-year-old student.
Police had seized the 2003 Volkswagen Passat to search for physical and scientific evidence that Kayla Mooney, 24, of Danbury, had engaged in sexual acts with the boy.
The science teacher was charged March 31 with second-degree sexual assault and distributing alcohol to a minor.
The case was continued to June 24.
