The C.H. Booth Library on Main Street is a hallowed sanctuary for many in town, and its closing back in January following flooding caused by a damaged sprinkler pipe has left some eager to not only help get the library back in operation but to be able to spend time in one of their favorite places.

Board of Trustees Chairman Martha Robilotti recently penned a letter to library supporters about the challenges, and noted that one of the key ways to help in this transition time is to support the library’s annual fund, the fundraising campaign the library depends on for programs and materials. The library does received municipal dollars, but it is not enough to meet all of the library’s outreach.

When the library reopens early next month, patrons will be delighted to see reconfigured rooms, new technology and other improvements intended to benefit all who come there, Robilotti said.

She said the changes will clearly “mark our library as an innovative learning place in the 21st century.”

“Your contribution can help the staff pursue these visions so that our grand reopening will reveal an exiciting new chapter in C.H. Booth Library’s future.”

To make a donation online, go to JustGive.Org or visit the library’s website: www.chboothlibrary.org

Keep watch for a grand reopening date.
