Patients were temporarily evacuated from Filosa Convalescent Home on Harkim Street in Danbury Saturday afternoon while firefighters put out a fire on the building’s second floor.
The 911 call was received at 3:45 p.m. and the incident was under control by approximately 4:10 p.m., according to fire police. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the fire marshal.
The convalescent home resumed reopened with patients relocated by 4:30 p.m., Filosa staff reported.
